The Departmental Technician supports the Depository Service Section’s receipting and lockbox operations. This role is responsible for reviewing existing processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the collection and reporting of monthly performance metrics.
- Providing technical support to Section staff.
- Conducting research and responding to receipting and payment-related inquiries from internal Treasury offices and external agencies.
- Supporting Departmental Analysts in the development and maintenance of forms and procedures related to banking processes.
- Communicating with the lockbox vendor to resolve processing and reconciliation issues, both verbally and in writing.
- Managing Non-Conforming and Duplicate Image Cash Letter (ICL) Rejects, including troubleshooting and correcting ICL file issues.
- Serving as the primary backup for the Field & District process.

One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
