What You’ll Do as a Nurse Care Coordinator:
Nurses are an essential part of Oaklawn’s psychiatric services. The Nurse Care Coordinator will assess clients, assist staff psychiatrists, work with unit staff and administer prescription. We have full and part – time positions at our Mishawaka campus. Schedule includes every other weekend.
The Nurse Care Coordinator responsibilities include:
- Collecting data regarding a client’s mental and physical health status upon admission
- Process annual tests (H&P, TB)
- Lab orders and secure results
- Somatic complaints
- Medication reconciliation, consents, and medical assessments
- Pain resolution
- Precautions and reassessments
- Charting
Minimum hiring requirements:
- Current Indiana RN license
- Two years of post-degree psychiatric experience in a similar position preferred
