What may you experience as part of an Internship with BBH’s Technology Department?
- Learn how technology solutions are built, deployed, run, and protected in support of business functions
- Work alongside Cybersecurity professionals to protect BBH
- Learn Vendor Management skills
- Understand IT Strategy and Management
- Manage technology on premise and cloud working alongside IT Engineers
- Hands on experience with Linux, containers, virtual hypervisors, PowerShell, SCCM Administration & Intune
- Troubleshoot systems and equipment problems, identify causes, and recommend solutions
- Exposure to software automation via scripting
- Gain understanding of Windows & Application Security Patching across multiple device types
- Work with tools for identifying the firm’s security vulnerabilities
- Hands on experience with security vulnerability remediation and troubleshooting, collaborating with application and operation systems teams and vendors
- Investigate desktop security vulnerabilities including detailed reporting and analysis
- Recommend and apply best practices for addressing ongoing threats
- Support and contribute to the maturity of the configuration management program by collaborating with remediation teams and working to expand our footprint and harden our infrastructure components to reduce risk
- Engage in security investigations utilizing various detection tools
- Participate in discussions around security events and activities with various non-technical and technical parties
- Collaborate with teams to manage security investigations and provide prevention solutions for cyber threat
What BBH’s Technology groups look for in an intern:
- Currently a junior in college, entering senior year in Fall of 2025
- Undergraduate computer science or information technology majors are strongly preferred with a GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Ability to analyze business processes to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Experience or interest in working with large quantities of information for analysis
- Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, both independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, escalate and resolve a problem
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with/knowledge of the following a plus:
- Windows operating systems and software applications
- Security vulnerability monitoring and reporting tools
- Microsoft Azure
- Working with containers
